SINGALILA NATIONAL PARK

SINGHALIL NATINAL PARK IS SITUATED AT AN ALTITUDE OF 7000ft to 12000ft in the Indian State of West Bengal. It is bordered by Sikkim on the North and Nepal on the West. Singhalila National Park covers the area of approximately 78.60 sq km of Rhodendron, alpine valley and rare species of animals, birds and orchids. Singhalila trek and vintage Land rover safari is a very popular activities among the visitor. During the recent year it has been noticed that the trekking activities has declined as a result of maintenance of road to concrete from its original nature of gravel and boulders, nevertheless in the recent year it has become the hotspot for both Red Panda sighting and bird watching activities.

VIEW
Among all the eastern Himalaya what makes Sandakphu and Phalut unique is its view. Singhalila is only the place from where one can see Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt Everest together. Visitors will be fascinated by 180* panoramic view of eastern Himalaya ranging from Mt Kanchenjunga and its sisters to Makalu, Lotse, Nuptse, Chamlung, Chomolonzo, Machapuchre and other parts of Annapurna range and even peaks of Bhutan. The locals in India and Nepal believe that the sight of Sleeping Buddha are filled with divinity power.

WILD LIFE
ANIMALS : Red Panda, Yellow Throated Marten, Clouded Leopard, Barking Dogs, Pangolin, Wild Boars, Black Beers and other Himalayan mammals.

BIRDS : Kalij, Satyrtrogapan, Parvotbill, Fire Tailed Myzornis, Parvidges, Tree Creepers and 120 species of exotic Himalayan birds.

FLOWERS : Rhododendron, Magnolia, Primula , Aconitum, Snake Lily and many high altitude medicinal plant are found.

FOREST : ALPHINE AND BAMBOO FOREST.
