BIRDING TRIP IN SINGHALILA NATION PARK

Singhalila ridge (Sandakphu area) is mostly covered by thick bamboo, pine, rhododendron, magnolia and oak forest. It has a unique eco system so the birds found here are hard to find anywhere else in India. The diversity and beauty of Rhodendron and Magnolia is feature of the area.
The check list of the region contains, Satyr Tragopan, Blood Pheasant, Kalij Pheasant in pheasant category and Fire tailed Sunbird. Brown /Fulvous/Black throated parrot bills, scaly/spotted laughing rush, Darjeeling woodpecker and more than 160 species are found in this area.
